Your Guide to Sustainable Fashion and FashionTech at NYFW
Where to be and tips for making the most of New York Fashion Week this February 2025.
Are y’all ready for NYFW this week?
Now, although this NYC weather lately has made staying home extra appealing, let me promise you THIS is the week to brave the cold to find your FashionTech and sustainability people and hear from/connect with leaders in the industry.
I’ve got 8 events for you all across NYC, at all different price points and with different vibes for different interests. All require that you RSVP so make sure you act quick and don’t miss out.
Plus, to help you prioritize, I’ve also called out what startups and brands you can expect panel each event so you can plan ahead and make the most of your ⏰/💸.

But first, what are we wearing?
I don’t know about you, but to me Fashion Week is the PERFECT opportunity to try out some cool FashionTech rental companies.
I’m testing out nuuly this month (will report back) but given Fashion Week is upon us, I’d recommend peer-to-peer platforms like Pickle and BARO! You can even visit the Pickle store in West Village if you want to try before you rent.
Another idea - run over to The Vintage Show today (Sunday Feb 2) and stun everyone with a one of a kind vintage look.
Tips for first timers
Keep an Eye out for Pop-Ups: Check out Eventbrite for other brand pop-up events happening around the city during NYFW. Generally they’ll be in SoHo I feel.
People Watching in SoHo: SoHo is a hotspot for all the fashion lovers trying to get their photos for insta. If you want to feel like your a part of the scene, hang around SoHo. With that being said, if you don’t want to deal with influencers and tourists at all, then absolutely avoid this area for the week.
Streaming Shows: If you’re really only interested in the main shows themselves and catching what trends we can expect for next season, you can always stream the shows via the official NYFW website: nyfw.com

Final thoughts, is anyone in Vogue Club?
Random aside but I saw Vogue Club is throwing a fashion week kickoff (”hosted by Hosted by @RealBarbaraPalvin and @DylanSprouse” lol) and did a giveaway for access to the Carolina Herrera show… that’s pretty cool. Is anyone in Vogue Club? Is it worth it?? Please report back for the team here lol.
Hope this helps you plan your week. So which do you plan on checking out? Let me know in the comments and let’s link up!
