Fashion x Innovation Social Series: A Look Back and What’s Next!
A recap of November's Fashion Tech Impact Mixer and your invite to December's NYC FashionTech event this Thursday.
What an incredible turnout we had for November’s edition of the Fashion x Innovation Social Series! Hosted in the stunning No. 29 studio, we welcomed 70 of the most passionate professionals from the Sustainability, Tech, and Fashion worlds for an evening all about breaking out of our usual echo chamber. Here’s some highlights from the night:

As is tradition, we posed a question to get conversation started and inspire opportunities to collaborate. November’s question:
“What new topic or skill are you excited to dig into as the year closes or as you look to next year?”

With the theme of the night being sustainability, a node to the incredible work both Lilian and Melody are doing to promote sustainability across industries, this was a great reminder of how essential it is to build bridges outside of our usual circles. With potentially challenging years ahead for sustainability, these moments of connection and support are more crucial than ever.
Thank you to everyone who came and helped us fill the room (and beyond—we had a waitlist of over 200 people! Trust that I’m on a mission to partner with bigger venues in the new year… if you’ve got venue connections, let me know!).

Final Event of 2024 this Thursday!
The social series will be resuming in 2025 but I have one more FashionTech event I will be moderating which I’m sure this community will enjoy.
This Thursday, December 5th at 6pm we’ll dive into the consumer trends and innovative brand experiences shaping the future of fashion at “Beyond The Rack: Designing Customer Experiences That Stick!”
Our panelist for the evening are two inspiring founders, Farida Raafat of Dalya NYC and Manon Martin of Les Aimants, as a kickoff to their weekend popup!
These two women have incredible backgrounds starting in fashion where they identified gaps in the market that led them to found their respective companies.
We’ll dive into everything from their journey to founding their companies, how they create stand out customer experiences, their thoughts on tech in today’s consumer journey and the role of retail in building customer-brand relationships in 2024.
This is going to be a great conversation with a strong audience to mix and mingle with from the NYC FashionTech community. Don’t miss out!
